__ De prachtige Skellig Islands liggen 12 kilometer uit kust van Portmagee in Zuid-West Kerry. Majestueus uit de zee opstijgend torent Skellig Michael 218 meter boven de zeespiegel uit. Op de top van deze indrukwekkende rots zult u een monnikken-nederzetting uit de zesde eeuw aantreffen die de tand des tijds verbazend goed heeft weerstaan.

Op de spectaculaire Smail Skelligs nestelen 23.000 paren jan-vangenten op alle aanwezige richels, hetgeen ze tot de op een na grootste jan-van-genten kolonie ter wereld maakt.

Een bezoek aan deze belangrijke toeristische attractie zou best wel eens het hoogtepunt van uw vakantie kunnen zijn

Booking Information

The boat departs daily from Portmagee pier at approximately 10:00am, weather permitting. The boat trip to the Skelligs takes 45 minutes and you have between 2 hours and 2 hours 30 minutes on the rock.  The boat stops for a while at the Little Skelligs to allow you to view the bird colony and seals.  The return boat trip lasts a further 45 minutes and you are back in Portmagee at around 3 o' clock. It is advisable to book at least 2 days in advance.
